Hey there! My name's Jeanette Marsh, and I am an illustrator who mainly works in Adobe Photoshop. I specialize in drawing living things, such as people, animals, and creatures. My biggest inspirations and influences come from the modern comic book and graphic novel art styles as well as from various cartoons, including Disney. One of my favorite artists who I gain a lot of inspirational motivation from is Patrick Brown.
I was born on January 20th, 1987. I grew up in a small town in Illinois in the Quad Cities and attended college at The Illinois Institute of Art: Schaumburg, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in Game Art and Design. After graduation, I made the journey down to New Mexico, where my parents had retired, and found myself working as a designer and illustrator for a company in Corrales called Ideum, where I contributed my skills for applications for places such as HP, Milwaukee Public Museum, the Institute of American Indian Art, the Liberty Science Center, the Minnesota Historical Society, and the Air and Space Museum. Prior to this, I designed maps for a History Channel special, titled Gates of Hell, and also worked on character concept art for Martoos Studios/a Hollywood producer, for a film called Heaven: The First War.
Currently, I am employed contractually with StoryLab Interactive, a start-up in Albuquerque, which is a technology-driven company that creates interactive, immersive experiences.
Truly a nerd at heart, I am a lover of fantasy and science fiction, along with learning about the mysteries of the universe and exploring the ever-intriguing consciousness. In my free time (other than drawing), I enjoy creative writing (check out my roleplaying characters here), playing video games (PlayStation, PC, & 3DS), reading, swimming, hiking and exploring, camping, bike riding, eating healthy and vegan, and appreciating life!
